ESCO Support Contracting
Kerney & Associates has a long history of providing mechanical contracting support for Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and HVAC OEMs. Our customers have included Trane, Johnson Controls, Siemens Building Technologies, Honeywell, Ameresco, SEI Group and Chamber Mountain Construction. Our design-build capabilities and retrofit team exceed what other companies are able to offer the marketplace. Our competitors tend to subcontract certain services—we are fully licensed to perform a spectrum of general, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work that minimizes the amount of sub-contractors required by an ESCO; we are a ‘one stop’ shop.
Since 1992 we have been supporting the ESCOs that provide services to our core markets which include healthcare, hospitality, institutional, federal and municipal. Our services range from sub-contractor support to turnkey solutions required by this market with typical project sizes ranging from $750,000 to $5M.
Our Florida & North Carolina operations have completed many projects on Federal military bases, VA Hospitals, correctional facilities and other institutional properties. Many of our field technicians are part of our network of trusted, licensed professionals that have been part of the Kerney team for just as long as we've been in business.
We understand that security and confidentiality in these facilities is a requirement. Kerney & Associates personnel and project management staff are fully versed in these procedures. We are bondable for projects up to $40M and all of our people go through rigorous background checks before they are hired.
