Patrick Kerney

Patrick Kerney, President and CEO

Patrick Kerney is the President and CEO of Kerney and Associates. In South Florida, Pat’s family has a rich history in the mechanical trades starting with his father who was a Union pipefitter for over 50 years. Pat entered the trade out of high school in 1983 and graduated the Local 725 Pipefitter Apprentice Program in 1987. It wasn’t long into his career before he decided to go into business for himself.

In 1992 Patrick founded Kerney and Associates with a few employees and has never looked back. Pat’s hard work and “customer first” philosophy has earned him lifelong clients, some are still with Kerney after more than 20 years. Patrick’s dedication to giving his clients the highest quality of workmanship has earned the company a reputation for being the “highest of quality” contractor. This culture has been passed down to the leadership team and field employees and is what makes Kerney & Associates stand out from others.

Bob RobertsBob Roberts, Vice President of Operations

Bob Roberts has 33 years of experience in the Mechanical/HVAC industry. Bob joined Kerney and Associates after a successful career with York International and Trane. He was also a principal of Sey Culhan Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. Most recently he served as General Manager for Edd Helms Air Conditioning and Electric. Beginning with Mechanical Engineering studies at the University of Florida in 1980 Bob then entered the apprenticeship program for ACRA Local 725 in Miami. While there his accomplishments included 1992 class Valedictorian and winner of the prestigious Sam L Hamilton Apprenticeship Contest.

Bob’s role as Vice President of Operations is two-fold. He is responsible for implementing internal field operational processes. Secondly, Bob is an expert in chiller plant design and operation. He is an instrumental technical contributor for our Plant Optimization offering. Bob is also a State of Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor – CMC1249674

Scott Czubkowski,Scott Czubkowski, Director of Energy Services

Scott Czubkowski is an Energy Conservation and Sustainability Professional that specializes in return on investment sustainable project development since 1994. He has been a member of Kerney & Associates since 2008. Scott’s career history includes over four years of International work in Energy & Sustainability in both Western Europe and Canada. Through his tenure working in various parts of the globe he became a subject matter expert in building energy efficiency, LEED for Existing Buildings, alternative and renewable power generation, and sustainable waste management.

Mr. Czubkowski has a BSME from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a Master’s Degree from the Keller School of Management. His extensive work experience and industry credentials allow him to combine hands-on experience with the latest technology. Past employers include; Newport News Shipbuilding, Energy Conservation Network, Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. and Siemens Switzerland Ltd. Current industry credentials include; Florida Professional Engineer, Business Energy Professional, Certified Energy Manager, Certified General Contractor, Certified Solar Contractor and LEED AP.

Jim Rogers

Jim Rogers, Estimating and Procurement Director 

Jim Rogers is responsible for estimating and the majority of project procurement for Kerney and Associates. As the most tenured member of the leadership team, Jim is instrumental in providing technical assistance for all Plumbing and Mechanical estimating at the company. Jim also handles the majority of procurement for all of our major projects. He provides our customers with the utmost value by getting them the best pricing available and lowering their costs.

Jim started his career in the industry as an apprentice in 1963 and has 50 years of experience. Prior to coming to Kerney & Associates Jim has only worked for two other companies. His started his career at American Mechanical Contractors in 1963 until he left to go into business with his two brothers at Rogers Bros, Inc. in 1987. Jim joined Kerney and Associates in 2005 as COO assisting Patrick Kerney in the day to day operation of the business.

Dan Marjama

Dan Marjama, Operations Manager

Dan Marjama is a professional in the plumbing and mechanical trades with over 13 years of experience. He started his career in early 2000 in high rise construction, working his way up from apprentice to General Foreman on various large commercial projects. In 2007, he started working in health care facilities which require special skills and competency that he has been developing since 2000. He is a continual student of the trade and constantly stays on the forefront of the industry. As the operations manager for Kerney and Associates, Dan is responsible for the entire field operations, assists in estimating and project planning. All of the field project management staff report to Dan. Dan served a five year apprenticeship at the J.A.T.C. for plumbing and pipefitters. He obtained a Broward County Journeyman and Medical Gas license in 2004 and both are still active. He currently holds a State Certified Plumbing Contractor License as well.  

Patrick McCune, NC Branch Manager,

Patrick is responsible for growing the North Carolina based office by securing new work and working with existing customers on developing new projects. Patrick assists with the day-to-day operations of the Kerney & Associates team through sales, project management, and purchasing. Patrick brings experience gained while working with Johnson Controls for 5 years as an HVAC Account Executive, as well as working with Commercial Mechanical Systems, Tecogen Inc., and Bass Air Conditioning Company Inc. Patrick specialized in HVAC Service, Sales, Troubleshooting, Piping, Brazing, Electrical, Controls. Purchasing Equipment, Load calculations, Budgeting, Delivery and installations. Energy audits, bench-marking buildings, analyzing customers maintenance programs and ensuring it is done correctly.
